Although I knew this day would finally come, I was beginning to doubt I'd ever see it!!!!! This morning the docs came by on rounds and said they were signing me out. I'm doing the happy dance!!!!
I don't know when I'll actually be heading out the door, but it will be sometime today. Probably this afternoon. I'm going to be staying in the visiting guest suite at Maggie Scarborough's lovely home. Boy, do I have good friends!
Thanks for all your cares, and help. I can't stop smiling!
Hugs,
Jennie

The only thing good about this frigid weather (remember we're in the mountains; it's about 18 here now and that's our high for the day) is maybe you'll take it easy for a couple of days! Don't want to hear any reports of you running amuck...
ReplyDeleteGood news, hope you get to take that trip today. Release! Be sure you are in optimum condition before packing your bags, take it easy, nice and easy.
ReplyDeleteLove to you, Charles Lee
Jenny, I am so glad to hear you are well enough to leave the hospital! and the first leg of recovery is complete. Enjoy this sunny day and being at Maggie's house...will be by as soon as you give the word. Mary Cleary
ReplyDeleteYAY! Glad to hear you're movin' right along. Make sure you use that heater at Maggie's it's gonna be cold down there. Lot's a love ~
ReplyDeleteHi Jennie, It is good news that you will be well enough to go to Maggie's. We have been praying for you and know that they are being answered. I have been letting JoAnne and Sara know how you are. It is cold here today. Will be down to 1 degrees tonight. We are staying inside. Call me at 731-784-8680 when you are up to talking. I would love to hear from you. Love you, Aunt June
ReplyDeleteYippee!! It's wonderful to get out of a hospital bed and into nice soft sheets. Makes a person appreciate downy. You continue to be an inspiration with your humor. I've been praying for you, but my singing has stopped. Let me know if you need anything.

ReplyDeleteJennie, we rejoice at the thought that you're probably out already, free of the majority of tubes, wires, needles and other nuisances. Hopefully, you'll be tucked under warm quilts before the cold snap hits tonight. Is tomorrow the day I get to bring you chicken soup, Aunt Titta's healing recipe with the chicken pieces blenderized? Say the word and it will be there: 919-812-9275 or long0024@mc.duke.edu. Lots of love, Cosi
