Moving to Patty's for a spell....

Well, I've become totally spoiled at Maggie's, but I believe in sharing the wealth, so I am going to take Patty Kirkley up on her offer to move in to her guest bedroom for a few days. I really thought I would be able to go home, but when I went home yesterday, I was just too weak. I can't walk more than 40 feet without having to sit down and rest. My pulse has been too rapid, 126 one day, 115 the next. I'm dehydrated, but working on drinking more. I think I just don't feel safe moving home yet.... especially if we get the 2-4 inches of snow that is being called for tonight. I hope that storm isn't headed for the Capital!!!! Talk about bad timing!!!

I'll keep y'all posted. Thanks for all the well-wishes.

Jennie

  1. Jennie, don't "stay" at home by yourself for the first few days that you try it. See if you can get that darn Dale to stay with you at least for a few days. Then be sure that someone talks to you at least once a day for a while to be sure you are fairing well enough alone. Stay downstairs, too. And between everyone, we can get you to the store/Dr. etc. You have our # and we are only 35 minutes or so away. I can be there anytime 24/7 if need be. Put your cell phone in your pocket. BTW, you should probably acquire a taste for GatorAde. It very quickly replenishes lost electrolytes, and you are losing a lot.

Get back on your dancing feet! Marsha will be back soon...

  2. Jennie, it is great to hear you have another friend to stay with. Maybe it should be like a tour, going from place to place? Being stuck by yourself in the snow would not be too fun. I am hoping for snow so that the meetings I would have to attend won't be happening and I could watch the inauguration live on TV. I bet a lot of people are pulling for snow for that one. Kellee G was talking about making Snow Cream too, haven't had that in a while. Gatorade is a good idea.
Hang in there, keep on getting better.

  3. I'm glad you're not pushing it. Of course, just give a shout if you need some help when you do get home.

  6. Hi Jennie,
Glad you're being sensible about not rushing things. All things in due time, right? Hello to Patty and Ken.

    Be gentle with yourself.

  7. Jennie, I'm so glad you're continuing to progress. Do you anticipate setting up a schedule for people to visit you, feed you, etc.? Count Beth and me in.
