And she's up

Andy again, So the news is she is up and walking! She went on three walks today. The doctor seems pleased. She is on less morphine and very hungry, which sounds like a dangerous combination to me. I wish I could be there with her to give the readers most accurate and detailed updates, but my source (Dale, aka, Dad ) assures me he is being observant, supportive and (mostly)agreeable. So, Jennie give me a call if he is giving you problems.

  2. Hi Jennie,

Thinking of you with love and concern from downtown Bangkok. Wish you the smoothest of all possible pathways throughout 2009, rough start so it'll be a breeze from here on.

    Love to you, Charles Lee

  8. Jennie, Thanks for including me. Sorry you have had to go through this. Here's hoping it is a blessing in disguise--you can't have ulcerative colitis without a colon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Try to be kind to your doctors.

  10. Jennie,

Dave filled me in today and sent me the email and link to the blog. I just got caught up now. I am sorry to hear that you are going through this and hope that you recover well. Good to hear that Dale is helping out. I'll stay in touch and plan to come by to see you once you are up for visitors. Hang in there, and feel better!

  11. Hi JenGirl,
Glad to hear you're up and walking and hungry. Can't wait to hear that distinct gut laugh again we all grew to love at our lunch table. Hopefully HR won't be monitoring you!

    Love, j/s

  12. Thinking about you, Jennie! Hope you're continuing patient (no pun) progress. From what I remember, one or two days after surgery are usually easier than the 3rd and 4th days, like your body takes a couple of days to say "What the hell kind of truck hit me here!"
Good courage, a big shot of patience, and lots of love, dear heart, for all the steps that will take you right out the front door of UNC Hopsital at the end of the week. Love, Cosi 919-812-9275 (cell)

  14. Hey Honey!

Sorry I keep calling you at inconvenient times. Maggie relayed your message of regret to me but don't worry, I'll try again. I've been keeping up with reports from Bill, Margaret and Maggie and your blog. Great to hear how well you're doing. I know you'll sail through this and it will be but a memory in 6 months. I love reading all the wonderful supportive and caring messages from everyone. Know I love you and are hoping for your speedy recovery.

  16. I called her yesterday. Seems that UNC Hosp will not kill her no matter how much she begs them. So she sounds like she's getting back to normal.
